A 5’x5’ storage space is similar to a standard bedroom closet, while a 5’x10’ unit is more like a walk-in closet. At this level of space, you’re looking at something close to the size of a small house or apartment. A 10’x15’ storage unit can hold a small car or the contents of a two-bedroom home or apartment comfortably.

If you need a bit more room, a 10’x20’ unit with 200 square feet can accommodate the furniture and appliances of a typical three-bedroom home. It’s a generous amount of space.

The largest standard units, measuring 10’x30’, are roughly the size of a 40-foot moving truck. To give a sense of scale, this size can easily hold a grand piano, a small boat, or an average-sized car, along with the full contents of a four-bedroom house.
